Sharon is a freelance editor and proofreader based in the Midlands, working with publishers and self-publishing authors. At university, she studied English literature and history, which led her into teaching. However, after completing training with the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading, she began working as an editor, a career she loves.

In her spare time, Sharon enjoys playing tennis, acting and directing with an amateur theatre company, and writing her own books and plays. She is currently writing an adult historical fiction novel set in Elizabethan England and is working on her next play. She is a published playwright.

Sharon loves fantasy as it allows her to escape into new and fascinating worlds. If she were stranded on a desert island, she would take The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, probably her all-time favourite series, and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, by J.K. Rowling, as she never tires of her first visit to Diagon Alley and Hogwarts.
